Is it possible to get a bass drum harness to fit a girl?
I play the bass drum in my ATC Sqn’s marching band. However, the strap I have is too big for me – even with extra holes, it doesn’t quite fit – and it’s pretty painful to wear for any length of time!
I’ve been looking into getting a proper harness like b. drummers in jazz bands have, but I don’t know if it would fit me seeing as I’m a girl. I’m pretty flat-chested, but I would like to know whether I could comfortably wear one before it actually gets bought (I don’t think there are any shops locally that would stock them).
Does anyone please know if: a) it is possible to get a female harness, or b) if I could comfortably wear a normal one instead?

Hi, I was trying to work out quite what you mean by describing your harness, I used to march bass for Stonehouse Phoenix Marching Band, and we had the harnesses that went over your shoulders and were shaped like a H on its side, and there were 4 clips that went onto eye rings on the drum, is thins kind of like what you mean??
